Special Issue on Language & Knowledge Engineering

The special issue aims at pointing out the latest advances carried on into the field of Language & Knowledge Engineering and their applications. This special issue targets researchers from the LKE community, who have contributed with papers to LKE 2016 conference and earlier conferences. However, Independent submissions are welcome as well.

Topics and guidelines

The topics of the special issue include, but are not limited to:

  • Natural Language Processing
  • Knowledge engineering
  • Pattern Recognition
  • Artificial Intelligence
  • Computer Science

Submissions are invited for papers presenting high quality, previously unpublished research. Selection criteria include originality of ideas, correctness, clarity and significance of results and quality of presentation. Papers must be formatted according to the author guidelines for Computación y Sistemas papers, available at: Computación y Sistemas (ISSN 2007-9737, print ISSN 1405-5546) is a peer reviewed open access scientific journal of Computer Science and Engineering. Publication has no cost for authors. The journal is indexed in the CONACYT Index of Excellence of Mexican Journals, Scopus, Redalyc, E-Journal, e-revist@s, Latindex, Biblat, Periodica, DBLP, and SciELO (part of Thomson Reuters Web of Science).

All submissions should be submitted via email to the guest editors.

Important dates:

  • NEW! Deadline for paper submission (Deadline extended): February 28th, 2017, March 28th, 2017
  • First round of reviews: April 14th, 2017
  • Re-submission of papers after revision: April 28th, 2017
  • Final decision: May 12th, 2017
  • Expected publication of the special issue (online): November 2017
  • Expected publication of the special issue (print): February 2018
